Resonance
2019
Exhibition for the Bevica Foundation
and The Royal Danish Academy
For the 2019 Salone de Mobile in Milan, The Royal Danish Academy was represented with the exhibition Different Bodies consisting of three installations with Resonance being the first.
Resonance consists of a collection of glass vessels hanging in a room between two mirrors, portraying different shapes, expressions and capabilities. The audience is encouraged to choose two vessels they resonate with.
By giving the viewer an abstract language to describe
the body, we seek to investigate the most basic human condition - having a body to live in. This is relatable to everyone, but at the same time a very intimate and personal feeling.
The glass vessels were created in The Royal Academy's glass workshop on Bornholm, with the help of the skilled craftsmen there.
Resonance was made in collaboration with
Christel Cortz,Julia Fossland, Justin Eck and Marja Holst
