Hearing-aid

Oticon and The Royal Danish Academy

Coming to terms with getting older, is a complex process. Often signs of aging are present, for longer than they have to, before action is taken. This is especially true regarding hearing impairment.

The hearing-aids offered today are connected with

social stigma, as they make invisible signs of aging visible, this makes pre-seniors and young seniors hesitant to embrace technology designed to improve their quality of life.

By relying on wireless charging, the constraints that a cell battery (used in hearing aids today) puts on the form factor, can be bypassed. Wishbone split it's form, elegantly securing itself between ear and head. By squeezing the two legs together, the aid is activated, this can be done by discreetly pressing the side if the ear.
