The national ticketing system, for public transportation, Rejsekort is based on an international system developed by Thales. The physical objects of this system, contains a variety of problems, that can lead to everything from small nuisance, to life threatening situations.

Through field studies of user behaviour, problems were identified, and in collaboration with engineers at Rejsekort, I created a design proposal that addresses these problems, and simplifies production of each unit.

The proposal is a family, of three ticketing machines.

Free standing to be used on platforms.

Wall mounted to be used in less spacious areas.

Mounted on a rail to be used inside buses or trains, these are linked to power through the rail, and can be reduced in size.

They all share a common computer unit that is found in the blue dot, the dot is made of from polycarbonate, and features a touch screen, a computer, and a speaker.
